researchers for over 30 years. AFGS was founded in August 1979 to serve present and future genealogists in
researching Austin family lines, and to provide a place for publishing and preserving Austin-Austen
family research. AFGS is presently the largest group of Austin-Austen family researchers in the world,
with over 640 member families from Australia, Barbados, Canada, England, New
Zealand, Scotland, and the United States.
