The AFGS Library has hundreds of Austin-Austen historic and genealogical documents which have been submitted in hardcopy format by members over the last quarter century. Some of these documents are typed, while others are handwritten. When scanned and embedded in an Adobe Acrobat PDF file, these documents can be viewed page by page, but they still cannot be efficiently searched. The goal of this project is to digitize as many of these documents as possible to facilitate their use by researchers. Volunteers use their computer's Web Browser to view the documents at this website and transcribe them into digital format.
